Jugram
Haschwalth

Jugram Haschwalth is the Sternritter Grandmaster and Yhwach's Imperial Adviser, second in the Wandenreich and the man who runs it whenever Yhwach is asleep. His Schrift is B, The Balance, and it is the most quietly monstrous ability in the organisation: fortune evens out around him, so any misfortune that would land on Yhwach is transferred to someone else, and anyone enjoying an advantage has it taken away.

He met Yhwach as a teenager and was the only person present who stayed on his feet under the pressure he was giving off. That is the whole basis of the relationship. Haschwalth shares Yhwach's power directly, holding it during the day while Yhwach sleeps, which makes him less a subordinate than a second vessel for the same will.

What he is not is a believer. Haschwalth understands exactly what Yhwach does to his own soldiers, including the Auswählen that harvests Quincy lives to strengthen him, and he explains it to the people it is about to kill without flinching. He fights Uryū Ishida as the last Quincy and treats it as an argument about what the bloodline is for. The Balance means he takes on the suffering meant for someone else as a matter of course, and he has never once presented that as a virtue.
