STERNRITTER
Yhwach's Quincy elite, each granted a Schrift letter and the power that comes with it.
31 Sternritter catalogued
AUryū Ishida
Uryu Ishida introduces himself by luring a swarm of Hollows into Karakura Town with bait, just to prove a Quincy can out-hunt a Shinigami. It is a petty, dangerous stunt, and it is also grief: his grandfather Soken, the man who taught him...
BJugram Haschwalth
Jugram Haschwalth is the Sternritter Grandmaster and Yhwach's Imperial Adviser, second in the Wandenreich and the man who runs it whenever Yhwach is asleep. His Schrift is B, The Balance, and it is the most quietly monstrous ability in the...
CPernida Parnkgjas
Sternritter C, The Compulsory, and the left arm of the Soul King. It controls nerves, so anything it touches moves the way it decides, including a limb belonging to someone else. Mayuri Kurotsuchi and Nemu beat it by making it copy...
Askin Nakk Le Vaar
Sternritter D, The Deathdealing, a member of the Schutzstaffel who controls the lethal dose of anything. Whatever an opponent is exposed to, Askin sets how much of it kills them, including their own Reiatsu. He is unhurried and...
Bambietta Basterbine
Sternritter E, The Explode, who turns anything she touches into a bomb and detonates it at will. She leads the Wandenreich women and murders male Shinigami she has slept with, which the arc presents without comment. Sajin Komamura kills...
Äs Nödt
Sternritter F, The Fear, who infects a target with terror through thorns of Reishi and takes Byakuya Kuchiki's Bankai. The fight is the closest Byakuya comes to dying, and Rukia's rematch is built entirely on being incapable of feeling...
Liltotto Lamperd
Sternritter G, The Glutton, who can eat anything, including a person, and does. She is small, flat in affect, and one of the few Sternritter to survive Yhwach's Auswählen by working out early that he intended to spend them.
Bazz-B
Sternritter H, The Heat, who fires superheated Reishi in bursts and has a childhood history with Jugram Haschwalth that neither of them discusses well. He is loud, disloyal to Yhwach in private, and cut down by Haschwalth in a duel that...
Cang Du
Sternritter I, The Iron, who hardens his body until nothing cuts it. He steals Tōshirō Hitsugaya's Bankai and uses it badly, which is the arc's standing point about stolen power: the medallion takes the technique and not the understanding.
BG9
Sternritter designated with a numeral rather than a letter, a mechanical Quincy who fights by analysis, calculating an opponent's capabilities before engaging. It nearly kills Suì-Fēng, and its failure is that a calculation cannot account...
PePe Waccabrada
Sternritter L, The Love, who makes anyone struck by his ability adore him and turn on their own side. He uses it on Shinigami and Sternritter alike, and Byakuya Kuchiki kills him with a technique that does not require him to feel anything.
MGerard Valkyrie
Sternritter M, The Miracle, and the heart of the Soul King. Every injury inflicted on him makes him larger and stronger, so the fight cannot be won by damage. He is beaten by being frozen rather than broken, which is the only category of...
Robert Accutrone
Sternritter L, The Lock, one of the Quincy who took part in the first invasion of the Seireitei. He fights at range with a rifle-shaped bow rather than the standard form.
Driscoll Berci
Sternritter O, The Overkill, who grows stronger with every life he takes. He kills Chōjirō Sasakibe during the first invasion and is incinerated by Yamamoto immediately afterwards, which is the point of the character: the ability scales...
Meninas McAllon
Sternritter P, The Power, whose strength is straightforward and enormous. She is soft-spoken and apologetic between blows, which does not reduce the damage.
Berenice Gabrielli
Sternritter Q, The Question, who attacks through speech, filling a target's head with voices until they cannot think. Kenpachi Zaraki kills her without appearing to notice the ability was working.
SMask De Masculine
Sternritter M, The Superstar, a masked wrestler whose strength scales with how loudly he is cheered. His single fan, James, provides the cheering and regenerates when destroyed, which makes the ability far harder to shut down than it...
Candice Catnipp
Sternritter T, The Thunderbolt, who converts her Reishi into lightning and moves at the speed of it. She is vain, short-tempered and genuinely fast enough to be a problem, and she loses to Ichigo Kurosaki in the middle of an argument about...
NaNaNa Najahkoop
Sternritter U, The Underbelly, who identifies and exploits an opponent's weak point on contact. He works alongside Cang Du and is dismantled by Rōjūrō Ōtoribashi.
VGremmy Thoumeaux
Gremmy Thoumeaux is Sternritter V, The Visionary, and the strongest of them by his own claim and Jugram Haschwalth's private agreement. He looks like a child, sits calmly in the middle of a battlefield, and wins fights by imagining that he...
Lille Barro
Sternritter X, The X-Axis, and a member of the Schutzstaffel. His shots pass through everything between him and his target regardless of what it is, and he considers himself divine. Shunsui Kyōraku beats him by refusing to fight the fight...
YLoyd Lloyd
Loyd Lloyd is a Quincy and a member of the Vandenreich's Stern Ritter with the designation "Y." He is the identical twin brother of Royd Lloyd.
YRoyd Lloyd
Sternritter Y, The Yourself, one of a pair of identical brothers who can perfectly copy a target's appearance, abilities and memories. Royd impersonates Yhwach during the first invasion and fights Yamamoto in his place, which is how Yhwach...
Giselle Gewelle
Sternritter Z, The Zombie, who turns anyone touched by her blood into a corpse under her control, including captains. She keeps Bambietta Basterbine's body and treats it as a possession, and the fight against her is the reason Mayuri...
Algora Lallau
A member of the Sternritter appearing in the expanded material, one of the Wandenreich's broader roster rather than its front line.
Guenael Lee
Sternritter V, The Vanishing Point, who cannot be perceived by anyone. He turns out to be a figment of Gremmy Thoumeaux's imagination, given a Schrift and a personality and then erased when Gremmy stops finding him interesting.
Huburt Alexander Kleich
A Sternritter from the expanded material, part of the wider Wandenreich roster.
James
James is Sternritter M's second, which is an unusual job description because Mask De Masculine is a superhero and James is his audience. He is short, bald, wears overalls and sunglasses, and rings a bell to start each of Mask's matches...
Marcel Halpmann
A member of the Quincy of the Lichtreich and Wandenreich, part of the wider roster rather than a named combatant.
Nianzol Weizol
Sternritter W, The Wind, who deflects anything aimed at him. He is one of the Sternritter Yhwach spends without hesitation on the approach to the palace.
Shaz Domino
A Sternritter appearing in the expanded material, part of the Wandenreich's wider membership rather than the Schutzstaffel.
